This is your last chance to see it!

Trinity House, the U.K. authority responsible for navigation marks and lights around the UK coast, has announced that the East Goodwin light vessel will be decommissioned and replaced by a sophisticated buoy on August 14th this year.

But you are in luck, come along to Deal Time Ball Tower and view the lightship for one last time!

From the top of the Timeball Tower there are superb views of Deal, the coast and of course, the sea including the East Goodwin lightship. Binoculars and telescopes are provided.

Best time to view the East Goodwin Lightship before she goes forever is anytime between 1 hour before and 1 hour after high water. Visibility is a factor, a bright clear day is best.

Visit the tower to have one final look before she is decommissioned forever.

Future updates, events, and Wheels of Time.

As our website is fairly shiny and new, this page is currently under construction! It will soon fill up with interesting stuff and we will also pop our Wheels of Time information on this page as well.
